The perfect mach for pizza Margherita, that was invented in Naples in honour of italian queen Margherita,  cant be but a local wine of Campania. And as ths pizza has a lot of mozzarella cheese (better if done with fiordilatte) it has to be a white wine.  Campania many pizzerias offer an excellent selection of wines, starting from Gragnano Doc lightly sparkling, which has its roots in the Piedirosso. One  “variant” Asprinio is  of Aversa, that has a good acidity and a great freshness. This wine, with excellent froth and expertly  cleans the mouth of the taster by clearing it of the fatness and the deliciousness of the pizza.
